Who is Saint Anne?
Saint Anne is the mother of Mary and the grandmother of Jesus Christ. According to the New Testament apocrypha, Saint Anne was a devout woman who prayed for a child with her husband, Joachim. After many years, an angel appeared to them, promising a child. In gratitude, Saint Anne vowed to dedicate the child to God.
